This healthy hemp bread recipe is made with hemp protein powder, which is low in carbs and high in protein and fibre, making it very satiating. It’s healthy, convenient, tasty and easy to make!

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water, oil and sugar and let it stand for 5 minutes
  2. In another bowl, mix plain flour and hemp protein powder. Add egg, salt and mixed flour to the first bowl until form soft dough.
  3. Put the dough onto a floured surface. Knead it until smooth and elastic (3-5 minutes), Do not let it rise yet.
  4. Divide the dough into 12 pieces and shape each into the size of a tennis ball. Place them on greased baking sheets about 10 cm apart from one another. Cover and let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Beat an egg and brush it all over the dough. Once done, bake the dough at 200°C for 8-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Remove the bread from pans to a wire rack to cool down before serve.
