One of the most popular leafy vegetables in South East Asia and especially Hong Kong, hence its name, Choy Sum (Brassica parachinensis) is a member of the Mustard Family. The young leaves and stems are delicious steamed or stir-fried and are rich in carotene (pro-vitamin A), calcium and dietary fibre, they are also rich in potassium and folic acid.
